Cialis is like Viagra but the biggest difference is the length of time the effects of Cialis work over Viagra: for Cialis, it will work up to 36 hours for some men whereas Viagra typically lasts 4 to 5 hours.
In December 2003, Cialis was the third drug approved by the FDA for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It followed the release first of Viagra in 1998, then Levitra in 2001. Interestingly, Cialis is currently undergoing clinical trials to determine its usefulness in treating pulmonary arterial hypertension.
